Healthy eating habits begin with having healthy breakfast to start your day; whole grains, lean protein, and a fruit.
Starting your day with a bagel, sugar donut, or pound cake is not the best way to kick up your metabolism and burn that unwanted belly fat. (Besides... Who told you it was OK to have dessert for breakfast, hmmm?) You will be mad with hunger in an hour or two and you will stay hungry all day. If you are time challenged in the morning, you can make a nutritious and filling protein shake to start your day.
Never, ever, in your quest to be 'skinny', should you skip meals. Your optimum nutritional intake occurs by having 3 to 5 meals with three to four hour intervals between meals.
Be sure to improve the quality of your nutrition by consuming 5 or more servings of fruits and vegetables every day. Depending upon your caloric and nutritional needs, include some grains, whole grain breads, or cereals in your meals each day.
