Fitness Attitude
In my many conversations with women on the subject of having a fitness attitude to succeed at health and weight loss, I see that we still have much work to do. Time and time again these discussions just bring it home that with fitness, attitude is everything!
If you have the wrong fitness attitude about exercise, and you feel that exercise is doing penance for naughty, naughty eating, or it’s a painful or tedious obligation, you just might not reach that goal that you’ve set for yourself. If you think that the habit of exercise is boring and impossible to maintain for an extended period of time to get the results you are looking for, what do you think your chances are of sticking with your program?
Really, who wants to spend the time and energy doing something painful, boring or obligatory?
If you absolutely, honestly want to succeed at getting rid of excess weight permanently and improve the quality of your health, you’ll want to re-examine your attitudes about exercise. You will want to take the necessary steps to improve your health and level of fitness. A positive attitude is extremely important ... When you lean toward negativity in fitness attitudes you rob yourself of years of feeling great and looking good.
Positive Mind-Set
Having a positive mind-set about fitness is not hard. Begin by sorting out your ideas and opinions about exercise and figure out if your attitudes are true or if you have just been making excuses for not staying with your fitness program.
Here are a few simple ways to re-invent your attitude and reap the benefits of improved mental and physical results. You will feel better when you try a different approach and look at exercise as:
• A way of reducing stress. You can do this by scheduling fitness breaks during your workday.
• A refresher to boost your energy and mood. Endorphins are released to increase the feeling of wellbeing.
• The only times you'll get to have some “Me” time (‘cause everybody wants a piece of you!).
• A chance to get those bones and muscles moving to increase the quality of your everyday mobility.
• The best way to improve your shape, your health and your quality of life.
Fitness requires planning and commitment and creativity. And being fit allows for people to live a longer and healthier life. To succeed at achieving a healthy and more energetic lifestyle, you want a positive
fitness attitude
so that you can find ways to motivate yourself every day.
